LCPD Incoming President Press Release
On Tuesday, November 22, 2016, the Lakeview Crime Prevention District (LCPD) Board elected Brian Anderson to become the fourth LCPD Board President since its inception in 1998. Brian, an active LCPD board member for the past three years, also holds active Board positions with Lakeview Civic Improvement Association, Fix My Streets, and Friends of Lakeview. Brian is a native New Orleanian and Lakeview resident since 2003, when he moved here with his wife, Jan Lambert Anderson, who also grew up in the neighborhood. Brian is a Licensed Architect and Commercial Real Estate Agent. He looks forward to this unique opportunity to represent the many families of Lakeview and to give back to his neighborhood.
Brian plans to unveil a lengthy and ambitious platform for his one year term at the January 26th LCPD Board Meeting. One of the many items on the agenda is a plan for more transparency and engagement between Lakeview residents and LCPD. Brian plans to launch this new initiative at the LCIA sponsored Neighborhood Safety Meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2017. All Lakeview residents are invited to attend both meetings and help LCPD continue to make Lakeview the safest neighborhood in New Orleans.
